About Juanita
Juanita Escalante is proud to be a candidate for Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace at the Ajo Justice Court. Her experience comes from years of service within the very court she seeks to lead.
She began working at the Ajo Justice Court in 2007 in an entry-level position and advanced to Court Administrator and Pro Tem Judge. Through this experience, she gained a thorough understanding of court operations, judicial procedures, and the responsibility of ensuring fairness and accountability in every case.
Experience
Juanita has served inside the Ajo Justice Court from entry-level work through Court Administrator and Pro Tem Judge.
She has worked closely with the public, the County Attorney's Office, and law enforcement while keeping respect and impartiality at the center of the courtroom.
Her training includes Pima County Judge Orientation, New Judges Training for Limited Jurisdiction Courts, and MADD Victim Impact Training.

Having lived in Precinct 3 for most of her life, Juanita is deeply invested in our community. She values its people, culture, and strong sense of connection.
